Joe Biden Announces Additional Key Administration Posts

The United States of America President-elect Joe Biden is reported to have had a phone call with his Holiness, Pope Francis, as he prepares to be sworn in as the 46th President of the United States.

According to the statement made available by the Biden-Harris Transition team on Friday 13th November 2020, the said phone call took place on Friday morning, where the President-elect thanked the Pope, for extending his blessings and congratulations.

The President-elect Joe Biden was also said to have noted his appreciation for His Holiness’ leadership in promoting peace, reconciliation, and the common bonds of humanity around the world.

The transition team also said that the President-elect expressed his desire to work together based on a shared belief in the dignity and equality of all humankind on issues such as caring for the marginalized and the poor, addressing the crisis of climate change, and welcoming and integrating immigrants and refugees into our communities, the Biden-Harris transition team said.
