The First Lady of Nigeria, Mrs Aisha Buhari has released more photos and a statement, confirming her daughter’s wedding to Mr Mohammed Turad. She also thanked well-wishers who graced the event and prayed for the newly weds.
Recall that we reported on Friday that the First Lady shared some lovely photos from her daughter’s wedding, and although we were not sure if truly it was her daughter’s wedding, she has confirmed that her daughter actually got married on Friday.
Mrs Aisha Buhari taking to her official social media on Saturday 5th September 2020, she shared some family photos, and that of well wishes alongside that of her daughter, Aisha Hanan Buhari and her husband, Mohammed Turad.
She captioned the photos with:
“Today is a great and happy day for my family as we witnessed the wedding of my daughter, Aisha Hanan Buhari to Mohammed Turad Sani Sha’aban.
I am overwhelmed by the outpour of goodwill and support from family, friends and well-wishers.
Let me use this opportunity to thank everyone that graced the occasion with their presence and those that could not, for the understanding that at this time of a global pandemic and the need to strictly adhere to the advice of our health authorities necessitated limited gathering.
We appreciate your prayers for a blessed union, for the couple as they begin their marital life. #HamadForever,” she said.
Aisha Hanan Buhari who is the youngest daughter of Mrs Aisha and President Muhammadu Buhari got married to Mr Mohammed Turad on Friday 4th September 2020.
Aisha Hanan Buhari is a professional photographer. While Mohammed Turad is a special adviser to former Lagos State governor and current Minister of Works, Babatunde Fashola.
The 22-year-old Hanan, also recently graduated with a first-class degree from Bellerbys College in Brighton, United Kingdom, as a photographer.
Mohammed Turad is the son of a former lawmaker, Alhaji Mahmud Sani Sha’aban, who represented Zaria in the House of Representatives from May 2003 to May 2007.
Sha’aban is also a former governorship candidate in Kaduna State under the defunct Action Congress of Nigeria.
The likes of Aliko Dangote, Senate President, Minister of Labour, Dr Chris Ngige, and other top politicians both from the ruling party of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and other private well-wishers.
