The total number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus in Nigeria as at Friday 7th August 2020, is put at 45,687 by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC). This figure was reported by the centre, while also confirming 443 new cases of the virus on Friday.
According to the statement posted on the official social media handle of the NCDC, as at Friday 7th August 2020, the centre reported 443 new cases across some states. The 443 new cases, were recorded in 19 states of the Federation, including the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

discharged 936 and deaths reported as on Friday.
