Diddy Backs Nick Cannon Welcomes Him To Revolt TV

Diddy is backing Nick Cannon, where he offered him a platform on Revolt TV to continue his show. This comes after he received backlash over his anti-Semitic comments in a podcast interview on Tuesday, that resulted in his long standing relationship with ViacomCBS being terminated.

While the likes of 50Cent were busy trolling Nick Cannon, Diddy decided to do otherwise, offering the actor and TV host, an opportunity to host his show “Wild ‘n’ Out” on the Revolt TV. The offer came after his ViacomCBS cut ties with him, which means his top-rated show will also be taken down.

Diddy taking to his Instagram page on Wednesday night, posted a photo of himself and Nick Cannon where he shared a message of brotherhood, and unity in the black community. In his message, he encouraged others to try as much as possible to help each other up, especially at this time, which to him, is the only way to change the narrative. He said:

The only way we can change the narrative, educate, and uplift each other is if we do it together. Nick, my brother, I am here to support you fully in any way you need.⁣

What we are not going to do is turn our backs on our brothers and sisters when they challenge the system” he said.

On offering Nick Cannon a new platform, he continued by adding:
Come home to @ REVOLT TV, which is truly BLACK OWNED! We got your back and love you and what you have done for the culture,” he added.

Nick Cannon has since apologised for his Anti-Semitic comments he made during a podcast, with former Public Enemy member Professor Griff on the June 30 episode of Cannon’s podcast “Cannon’s Class.”

Nick in one of the points he made during the interview, said Black people are the “true Hebrews” and talked about anti-Semitic conspiracy theories involving the Rothschild family.

“It’s never hate speech, you can’t be anti-Semitic when we are the Semitic people,” Cannon said on the podcast. “When we are the same people who they want to be. That’s our birthright. We are the true Hebrews.”

In his apology, posted on Wednesday evening, Cannon said he now felt “ashamed” for those statements; Cannon is said to have been meeting with Jewish leaders in light of the controversy. “First and foremost I extend my deepest and most sincere apologies to my Jewish sisters and brothers for the hurtful and divisive words that came out of my mouth during my interview with Richard Griffin.

They reinforced the worst stereotypes of a proud and magnificent people and I feel ashamed of the uninformed and naïve place that these words came from. The video of this interview has since been removed.
“While the Jewish experience encompasses more than 5,000 years and there is so much I have yet to learn, I have had at least a minor history lesson over the past few days and to say that it is eye-opening would be a vast understatement.

I want to express my gratitude to the Rabbis, community leaders and institutions who reached out to me to help enlighten me, instead of chastising me. I want to assure my Jewish friends, new and old, that this is only the beginning of my education — I am committed to deeper connections, more profound learning and strengthening the bond between our two cultures today and every day going forward.” he said.
