Popular South African rapper, AKA has slammed those doubting whether or not he has gotten infected with the novel coronavirus, after he revealed his COVID-19 test result.
The revelation has got fans talking again, as a few hours after he announced that he has tested positive to the novel coronavirus, fans took to social media to express mixed reactions to the news.
While some fans expressed worry and sadness over the AKA COVID-19 test result which came out positive, others from their tweets since the rapper broke news, seems to be doubting and mocking the rapper.
Some argued that AKA brought this to himself. Others said the World Health Organisation and the South African Government have paid the rapper to share a false story about a COVID-19 test result. Those in support of the rapper, shared messages to wish him a quick recovery, while also asking him to be careful so as not to transfer the virus to his family members.
Others said he was using the COVID-19 news as a strategy to promote himself and his new song.

Recall we reported here first that the South African rapper on Friday 10th July 2020, took to his social media accounts to announce to the world that he has tested positive to the coronavirus. He posted this message telling his fans his coronavirus status:
“In an attempt to create awareness around the virus and to caution citizens to be more careful in their daily interactions with others. AKA has chosen to make his results public.
AKA pleads for everyone to adhere to social distancing guidelines, to wear masks and to hold stringent hygiene measures by frequently sanitising and washing our hands.
Since the announcement of the COVID-19 pandemic in South Africa, AKA has taken precautions that were stipulated by the WHO and the SA government. COVID-19 has become a very real part of many lives in South Africa and AKA will, therefore, be sharing his recovery journey with everyone whilst in self-isolation as he aims to be as transparent as possible about his journey with COVID-19″ the statement said.
