The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has once again, reported 490 new cases of the coronavirus across the country, taking the total confirmed positive cases so far to 24,567
The NCDC announced on Sunday 28th June 2020, on its official social media handle that 490 new cases have been recorded in some states of the federation.
The latest figures just like the previous updates from the national public health institute, which is responaible to lead the prevention, detection and response to infectious disease outbreaks in Nigeria, shows Lagos state with the highest positive cases out of the 490 new cases confirmed on Sunday.
The state recorded 118 cases out of the positive cases confirmed on Sunday with Delta state recording 81 cases to rank the second highest.
The update from the national public health institute, also shows that the 490 new cases were recorded in 21 states, including the FCT. The distribution of these new cases across the 21 states, shows the following:

From the latest update, a total of 24,567 cases have been confirmed, with 9,007 patients discharged, with 565 deaths.
