The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has on Sunday 21st June 2020, reported 436 new cases of the novel coronavirus, as the total confirmed cases in Nigeria as at this date, stands at 20,244.
NCDC taking to its official social media handle on Sunday 21st June 2020, reported that the 436 new cases recorded had Lagos state with the highest number of positive cases.
The reports showed Lagos with the highest daily numbers with 169 new positive cases from the 436 new cases reported by the specialist centre on Sunday.
The NCDC put the national tally at 20,244. and the total number of discharged patients at 6,879 and death toll at 518, as at Sunday 21st June 2020.
The 436 new cases were recorded in 18 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The distribution of these numbers, shows the following:
