COVID-19: NCDC Reports 329 New Cases With Total Now 48,445

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has reported 627 new cases of the novel coronavirus, as the number of recorded new cases in a single day since the outbreak of the virus in the country keeps increasing.

NCDC in its daily update on Friday 12th June 2020, reported that the 627 new cases recorded had Lagos state with the highest number of positive cases. The reports showed Lagos keeps recording the highest daily numbers, with 229 positive new cases from the 627 new cases reported by the specialist centre on Friday.

The NCDC put the national tally at 15,181, and the total number of discharged patients at 4,891 and death toll at 399, as at Friday 12th June 2020.

The 627 new cases were recorded in 23 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The distribution of these numbers, shows the following:
