Lagos State Discharges 13 COVID-19 Patients From Isolation

The Lagos State government has announced that they have discharged 13 COVID-19 Patients from different Isolation centres across the state.

Governor Sanwo-Olu disclosed this on Thursday 14th May 2020, as he took to his official social media page to update Lagosians on the latest development on the on-going battle to slow down the spread of coronavirus in the state.

Sanwo-Olu in his released statement, said 13 COVIDD-19 patients were discharged on Thursday, and these discharged 13 COVID-19 Patients, consisted of 11 males and two females. He said:

Dear Lagosians,
As a Government, we are committed to strengthening the state’s capacity in combating the pandemic. 
We would continue to play our role in keeping the state virus free as much as we can, but compliance on the part of citizens with guidelines on public health plays a major role in our fight against COVID-19.

Today, 13 more patients, comprising of 11 Males and 2 Females, have been discharged from our Yaba and Lagos University Teaching Hospital (LUTH) Isolation facilities to reunite with the society.

The patients, 4 from the Mainland Infectious Disease Hospital, Yaba and 9 from LUTH Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered and tested negative to COVID-19 in two consecutive readings.

With this, the number number of COVID-19 confirmed cases that have been successfully managed and discharged in Lagos stands at 541,” he said .
