Coronavirus: Wendy Williams Suspends Live Studio Audience

TV Show Host Wendy Williams Reacts To Show Ending

Wendy Williams has suspended live studio audience for ‘The Wendy Williams show’ indefinitely, as the novel coronavirus continues to spread across the United States. Her interaction with guests and audiences is a big part of every episode but the production is not taking any chances

A spokesperson to ‘The Wendy Williams Show’ while speaking on the move by the production, said: “Wendy values her co-hosts and their daily participation but in light of the current health climate, The Wendy Williams Show will not have a live studio audience until further notice.”

“We will continue to produce a daily live talk show and look forward to welcoming the studio audience back when the time is right,” the spokesperson continued.

“The Wendy Williams Show’s” announcement that they will not have a live audience comes hours after New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced a “containment zone” for the city of New Rochelle, a city just north of New York City.

“New Rochelle, at this point, is probably the largest cluster of these cases in the United States,” Governor Cuomo said at a news conference on Tuesday.

The announcement means that schools, places of worship, and other large gathering areas within a one-mile radius of New Rochelle will be closed for 14-days and the National Guard will help to distribute food in the “containment zone.” Cuomo continued his press conference, “You’re not containing people,” he said. “You’re containing facilities.”

Wendy films in New York City proper but the production has decided that having an audience is not worth the risk considering the “containment zone” is so close.
