Chelsea are the latest team to yet again inflict some pains on Liverpool, who on Tuesday night, suffered their third consecutive defeats across all competition in just a week. The Reds were knockout of the FA Cup by Chelsea, after losing 2-0 to the London team.

The game which started well for both teams, which had a not so good weekend in the League and a terrible Champions League first leg, saw the two missing chances in the opening minutes of the game. But it was Chelsea who drew the first blood when a Fabinho missed placed pass found Willian who wasted no time to strike from outside the box to give Chelsea the lead.

Liverpool’s goalkeeper, Andrian could not stop the volley from Willan as he instead fumbles the ball and into his own net.

Former Everton player, Barkley slotted home the second goal for Chelsea as Frank Lampard and his team book their ticket to the next round of the FA Cup competition.

The game also saw the return of Kepa Arrizabalaga after being dropped in six games. He also had a fantastic game and made a lot of world-class saves on the night. He made a triple stop at the corner, still with 1-0 on the scoreboard, to ManΓ©, Origi and Curtis Jones in the 20 minutes. But it was 18-year-old Billy Gilmour who also had a fantastic game that took home the Man Of The Match award.

Liverpool had lined up with: Joe GΓ³mez, Van Dijk, Robertson, Fabinho and ManΓ©, AdriΓ‘n, Neco Williams, Lallana, Curtis Jones intermingled , Minamino and Origi.

Chelsea had Kepa, Zouma, Rudiger, Ceaser, Alonso, Kovacic, Billy Gilmour, Barkley, Pedro, Willian and Giroud.
