The Brits 2020 Awards was held last night Tuesday 18th February 2020, at the O2 Arena in London.
The show which was hosted by British comedian Jack Whitehall, saw the likes of Scottish singer Lewis Capaldi, Billie Eilish, Dave and big man Stormzy took home key awards on the night.
The Brits 2020 award ceremony also saw a performance from our very own African Giant, Burnaboy, who started up with Stormzy performing their latest song, after which he did a solo performance singing ‘Anybody” in the action-packed ceremony.
This year’s Brits award saw the crowning of winners in eight categories and Capaldi was the only act to win more than one award, taking home Song of the Year for Someone You Loved and Best New Artist.
Mabel won Best Female Solo Artist while Stormzy took home the Male Solo Artist.
British-Nigerian and South Londoner, Dave won Album of the Year for Psychodrama
Stormzy paid tribute to the women in his team.
He said: “To be the best male, I have got the most incredible females in my team.
“You lot are the greatest, the best male is nothing without the best females. I love you guys.
“To every single person who supported me, I love you. Thank you guys.”
