American Billionaire businessman and one of many Democrats looking to unseat President Donald Trump in the upcoming U.S Presidential election, Mike Bloomberg has been caught on tape defending stop and frisk policing against minorities in the United States.
The Mike Bloomberg tape which is an old tape from 2015, has put his Presidential ambition on high ropes, and President Trump is loving the whole nightmare!
According to the report by TMZ, the audio is reportedly from a 2015 speech the former NYC Mayor gave for the Aspen Institute, where he discussed police targeting minorities, and flat-out said it’s the best way to get guns off the streets.
Mike Bloomberg was quoted to have said, “95% of your murders, murderers and murder victims fit one M.O. You can just take the description, Xerox it, and pass it out to all the cops. They are male, minorities, 16-25. That’s true in New York, that’s true in virtually every city.”
The billionaire went on to explain that the majority of police officers are deployed in minority neighbourhoods “because that’s where all the crime is. And the way you get the guns out of the kids’ hands is to throw them up against the wall and frisk them.”
He said it’s the best way to deter kids from carrying weapons because they won’t want to get busted.
President Donald Trump who earlier escaped the impeachment move by the Democrats, reacting to the news on Tuesday, took to his official social media handle to retweet the audio with the caption, “WOW. BLOOMBERG IS A TOTAL RACIST!”
President Trump who is calling Mike Bloomberg a racist, has himself supported policies against minorities, especially his immigration policies and statements targeting blacks and Mexicans, Muslims and opposition party members.
No official statement yet from the camp of Bloomberg, as the Republicans under Trump are looking like that will be having an easy ride going into the next Presidential election.
