The Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night, took to their official social media handle to share a tribute message to NBA legend, Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gianna and others who died in the helicopter crash that happened on Sunday in Calabasas.

The tribute message is coming just a day after the NBA cancelled the Los Angeles Lakers game vs. the Clippers on Tuesday night to honour Kobe Bryant. 

Los Angeles Lakers in their tribute message, said they are devastated with the news and loss of Kobe and his daughter Gianna, saying:

We are devastated and have been forever changed by the sudden loss of Kobe Bryant and his daughter, Gianna. We send our love to Vanessa, the Bryant family, and to the families of the other passengers. 

Words cannot express what Kobe means to the Los Angeles Lakers, our fans, and our city. More than a basketball player, he was a beloved father, husband, and teammate. Their love and light will remain in our hearts forever”.

The Los Angeles Lakers message continued with:

“The Mamba Sports Foundation has set up the MambaOnThree Fund to support the families affected by this tragedy.

The Sports world are still morning the tragic death of the 41-year-old Kobe Bryant, whose 20-years professional career at the NBA was with the Los Angeles Lakers as a shooting guard.

Bryant won five NBA championships, was an 18-time All-Star, 15-time member of the All-NBA Team, 12-time member of the All-Defensive Team, was named the 2008 NBA Most Valuable Player (MVP).

He was also a two-time NBA Finals MVP winner, who was regarded as one of the greatest players of all time. He led the NBA in scoring during two seasons, ranks fourth on the league’s all-time regular-season scoring, and ranks fourth on the all-time postseason scoring list.
