Pope Francis gave a lady two quick slaps for clutching his arm on Tuesday at the Vatican city, after the said lady grabbed him and would not let go, in the presence of other pilgrims.
According to the reports, Pope Francis was visiting the Nativity scene in St. Peter’s Square, when the incident happened, as he loses his cool after being grabbed by a pilgrim who wouldn’t let go of his hand.
Pope Francis was down in Vatican City Tuesday, ready to ring in the new year with a line of adoring fans and worshippers, many of whom he was happily greeting and shaking hands with along his route. It was all going great, up to the point where the lady who was also in the group grabbed him.
The video that has surfaced online showed Pope Francis trying out his safety and security skills, as he frees himself even with the guards behind him. It could have been worse if it were an actual attack.
The incident no doubt would worry the Vatican, seeing how easily the lady was able to grab the Pope even with the security men behind him.
Also, a child fell right in front of the Francis as he was walking along, and he was quick to attend to him and give him a pat on the head once he realized he was alright.
