Ganduje Leaves For Lesser Hajj, Gawuna To Act As Acting Governor

Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje of Kano state has traveled to Sa’udi Arabia for Lesser Hajj (Umrah) for two weeks, a statement released by Abba Anwar the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor said.

According to the statement released on Monday 23rd December 2019, the Governor while away for this religious (Lesser Hajj) trip, his Deputy Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, would be the Acting Governor.

The Governor has directed and urged the cooperation of all Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) to the Acting Governor.

Governance, according to the governor, is about putting heads together to work for the betterment of the society. “It is therefore pertinent for all to make sure that government keep running smoothly, effectively and efficiently, without any hindrance,” he said.
