The Lagos State Police Command on Monday 23rd December 2019, was reported to have arrested and detained a member of the House of Representatives representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju/Kajola/Iwajowa federal constituency, Hon. Shina Peller, at Moroko Police station, Lagos, and shut down his clubhouse, Quilox.
According to reports, the popular clubhouse in Lagos, Quilox was sealed by the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency over Noise Pollution and Traffic Congestion in V.I, but nothing was said about the arrest of the owner and Federal lawmaker, Hon Peller.
The report stated that the lawmaker was at Moroko police station to bail some of Club Quilox’s customers who had allegedly parked on the road during a show at the Club.
According to his media aide, before the kickoff of the 36-hour non-stop show which usually holds every year at Quilox, Hon. Peller had informed the concerned Lagos traffic authorities to avoid unnecessary traffic gridlock.
However, on getting to Moroko police station, the police detained Hon. Peller and seized all his phones.
