Manchester United and French midfielder, Paul Pogba has delayed his return to full training, after he was reported to have called in sick, a few days after attending his brother, Florentin’s wedding.
This news is coming just days after Paul Pogba posted a video of himself dancing with his brothers at a wedding ceremony, which took place in Bussy-Saint-Georges. He was due to return to training this week after recovering from the ankle injury that has kept him out since September 2019.
According to reports, it was manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who confirmed the latest development, where he said the French man’s long-awaited return to action has suffered a fresh setback due to illness.
“He’s been struck down ill,” United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer said.
“He’s been off two days, which is not beneficial. It’s probably set him back quite a bit.”
Solskjaer, whose side have a Carabao Cup quarter-final at home to League Two side Colchester on Wednesday, rejected the idea his side had learned to cope without #Pogba.
He said they missed him as they drew 1-1 at home to Everton in the Premier League on Sunday.
“It’s games like the Everton one, for example, when you are lacking that one creative pass or idea,” said Solskjaer. “He has the quality of not many midfielders in the world have, so it would be great to get
“We’ve got a squad and we’ve got to rotate, so we’re going make changes again because there are so many games,” he said. “I hope and I think the team I’m going to put out is going to be a strong enough one to win a game.
“At home against a League Two side you’re big favourites and we’ve got to accept that, but we have to go out there and earn it. It’s going to be strong enough to create chances and hopefully score goals,” Ole said.
