Popular Nollywood actress and producer, Funke Akindele-Bello has announced the passing of her Dad, Reverend O.G. Akindele through her Instagram account.
The actress who is the brain behind popular TV Series, ‘Jenifa Diary’ taking to her Instagram account on Monday 9th December 2019, posted a photo of herself and her Dad inside a church, with this caption:
“Dad!!! May your soul Rest In Peace!! I tried Dad! I did!! We love you but God knows best!!!
#iwishicanturnbackthehandsoftime”
Although Funke Akindele did not make mention of the cause of death, from her caption, it seems the late Rev O.G Akindele must have been having some health issues and she and her family did they could, but he finally gave up the ghost on Sunday.
The post by Funke announcing the passing of her father, also comes just a day after she shared some photos and videos of her attending the EbonyLife Entertainment Premiere of the movie, ‘Your Excellency’ in Lagos on Sunday night. It was an event she attended with her husband and entertainer, Mr Bello and other notable Nigerians.
From the information we gathered, Rev.G.O. Akindele was until his death on Sunday morning, a former Director, and Former Principal,of United High School Ikorodu, Lagos.
