A well known anti-environmental columnist, Jeremy Clarkson after years of living and writing in denial, finally admits his wrong in his views on the existence of global warming after his visit to Cambodia.

Jeremy Clarkson admission of the existence of global warming as reported by UK Evening Standard on Sunday, came when he and his Grand Tour co-stars were filming a 500-mile boat race from Siem Reap in Cambodia to Vung Tau in Vietnam.

The team were forced to wade through Tonlé Sap lake in the Mekong river system, which was once vast but has been increasingly affected by water shortages, the report has added.

The report citing the interview granted to Sunday Times  by Jeremy Clarkson he said: “The irony is not lost on me.

“A man who hosted a car programme for 30 years, limited to 7mph by global warming.”

Enduring “two days of absolute frustration”, he said the group had to be towed through the river, which was now just a “puddle”.

Clarkson said he found the “graphic demonstration” of global warming “genuinely alarming.”

Although he acknowledged the issue for the first time, he still did not appear to embraced activists he once called “eco-mentalists”.

The former Top Gear presenter also said that he would let Greta Thunberg blame mankind for it, before taking another dig at the 16-year-old Swedish campaigner by saying she had no answers to the climate crisis.

“‘Ooh, we’re all going to die.’ Right, tremendous. Now go back to school,” he said.

“But I genuinely hope people are working on what on earth to do about it.”

Jeremy Clarkson had previously used his column in the Sun to label Thunberg a “spoilt brat”, following her speech at the United Nation’s climate action summit in September.
