Jennifer Aniston has joined Instagram and her first post is a selfie featuring all five of her Friends co-stars.
According to the report by Standard, at age 50, Jennifer Aniston made her debut on the photo-sharing platform by posing for a smiling snap with Lisa Kudrow, Courteney Cox, Matt LeBlanc, David Schwimmer and Matthew Perry.
“And now we’re Instagram FRIENDS too,” she joked in her first caption, adding: “HI INSTAGRAM.”
After joining the social media network on Tuesday afternoon, Aniston amassed nearly 100,000 followers in less than an hour, while her post gained over 94,000 likes
Her bio reads: “My friends call me Jen.”
Aniston’s famous friends hailed her arrival on social media, with her former on-screen sister and The News Show co-star Reese Witherspoon commenting: “YASSS!!! Welcome to Insta Jen!!!”
Journalist Derek Blasberg wrote: “The internet feels Friendlier already!”
Speaking to Howard Stern on SiriusXM radio last week, Aniston revealed that she and her Friends co-stars had recently managed to pull off a rare reunion at Cox’s house.
“We had dinner, the whole gang,” she said. “Everyone was there.
“Schwimmer was in town, we all happened to have a window of time, so we all got together.”
She said that they spent the “very civilised” evening “laughing so hard,” and added that all of the former colleagues “miss [Friends] every day.”
However, she once again shut down speculation of a rebooted series, telling Stern that it wouldn’t be “even close to as good” as the original 90s hit.
“I honestly think, [though] we would love it, there is an idea if there is a reboot of the show, it won’t be even close to as good as what it was,” she said. “It would ruin it
Friends ran from 1994 to 2004 on US channel NBC and charted the lives and love of six friends living in Manhattan.
