New England Patriots sack Antonio Brown over rape accusations

Another sad day for Antonio Brown, as just a day after Nike pulled from a sponsorship deal with him, his team The New England Patriots have announced that they are letting him after he was accused by two women of sexual harassment.

Antonio Brown who just joined The New England Patriots was expected to earn $50 million over three years with the Raiders, sponsorship deals with Nike and Xenith and then his job with the Patriots in less than two weeks, and all that seems to have gone down the drain.

This news now will see him miss out in $9million signing bonus from New England Patriots, and will now go from $30M guaranteed in March to just $158,333 made in 2019.

The Pats just released a statement on #AntonioBrown

“The New England Patriots are releasing Antonio Brown. We appreciate the hard work of many people over the past 11 days, but we feel that it is best to move in a different direction at this time.”

The Patriots scooped up Brown on September 7, immediately after he was released by the Oakland Raiders following his fight with the GM and requests to be set free

After Brown was accused of sexual assault by a former trainer, it seemed the Patriots had started to distance themselves from the star wide receiver, even though he scored a touchdown for them last weekend in his debut against the Miami Dolphins.

After the they made the announcement, Brown came out with a statement of his own, thanking the organization for the opportunity

“Thank you for the opportunity @Patriots #GoWinIt,” he wrote

He also sent a message to Tom Brady, telling the QB, “Love ya champ. That was fun!”
