Xenophobic Attacks: Hush Puppi slams SA and Nigeria celebrities

Nigerian big boy, Hush Puppi has taken a swipe at Nigerian celebrities for not speaking up against Xenophobic attacks in South Africa (SA)on fellow Nigerians and other African nationals. The Nigerian multimillionaire who said he was saddened at how celebrities have pretended not to see what was going on and condemn the actions, also did not spare his South African celebrity friends, telling them to F**ck Off.

Taking to his Instagram page on Monday Hush Puppi who did not hold back in his condemnation of Nigerian celebrity, said:

“Nigerians do you see your South African friends and celebrities you follow post against Xenophobia? Yeah right, they are all the same, they don’t care about us when the lives of our people get taken by their people but want to say something Nigerian Jollof and other irrelevant discussions” he said.

This statement did not go down well with many celebrities, both in Nigeria and South Africa, especially Tuface. He has since regretted commenting on Hush Puppi’s page, as Nigerians were quick to drag him and even went as far as reminding him of how he chickened out in a protest he planned himself against the government.

Hush Puppi seeing how his first message on the xenophobic attacks generated a lot of reactions both from Nigerians and South African celebrities, on Tuesday took to his Instagram page to do a follow-up, which was to say his mission has been accomplished. But not without condemning them celebrities further, for not using their platforms to create awareness to the issues going on in South Africa. He said:

“My mission this morning has been accomplished, I have been able to save a lot of lives that are yet or about to be taken today by those ignorant men. I have been given a platform by the people, it’s only right that I do the right thing with it to help and save the lives of the people.

My message today has brought a lot of awareness to what’s happening to our people in South Africa regardless of how harsh I decided to relay my message, they say drastic situations call for drastic measures and the drastic and harsh way I passed my message to our politicians and celebrities has made my voice to be heard quicker and a lot of awareness is being raised to the matter now with actions to end the xenophobic act of some South Africans. My message is not personal to anyone, I just couldn’t hold my words knowing this has been going on for 5 days and no one is doing nothing about it. Thank you to everyone who’s been spreading the word, U are a lifesaver. God bless you all” he said.
