The General Manager of the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority, LASEMA, Dr Femi Oke-Osanyintolu, has confirmed that at least one person has died from the accident that happened along the popular Ikorodu road involving a BRT Bus and a Dangote Cement Truck on Tuesday morning.
According to reports, the ghastly auto crash on Tuesday 27th August 2019 happened around 11 am, as a truck belonging to Dangote Cement company, had a head-on collision with a 60-seater high capacity Bus Rapid Transit BRT, along Ikorodu Road, Lagos State. The accident resulted in many injuries, and also a heavy traffic jam along that axis as traffic officials battle to clear the scene.
So far, the injured victims have been rushed to the hospital, as the road was cordoned off on both sides for easy rescue and evacuation operation by men from the Nigeria Police, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA, Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, Lagos State Neighbourhood Safety Corps, LSNSC, among other emergency responders were on ground to restore normalcy as well as prevent any form of breakdown of law and order in the are
