English Premier League club Arsenal has confirmed the signing of 22-year-old Real Madrid midfielder, Dani Ceballos on a season-long loan.

This is surely a good news for Arsenal, who have been struggling to bring in some big names in this current transfer window, due to some financial constraint, as head coach Unai Emery was rumoured to only have £45 million as budget from the Arsenal board.

The transfer market has somehow been frustrating for the London club, as some of the transfers linked to the club such as that of Crytal Palace winger, Zaha who is valued at £80million by Palace, has seen negotiations stalled due to the huge price tag and with Arsenal not having much to spend…while there is still time for new signings, the board are not willing to spend.

Given the situation of the club, they have opted for a loan move for Dani Ceballos, a 22-year-old midfielder with 13 La Liga starts to his credit.  Although, the injury to Marco Asensio almost stopped the move, but since negotiations already started and agreement already reached by both teams, it was only proper to allow the deal go through.
Manager Unai Emery speaking on the signing, said: “We’re excited to see Dani join us. He is a talented player with big technical ability, creativity and precision.”

In July 2017, Dani signed for Real Madrid on a six-year deal, making his competitive debut a month later.

The central midfielder is also a Spanish international and won his first cap in September 2018, scoring his first goal for his country two months later.

Dani Ceballos will be wearing the No 8 shirt and will be available to make his debut at the Emirates Cup this Sunday. His old club Real Madrid confirming the move put out this short statement:

“Real Madrid C. F. and Arsenal FC have agreed on the loan of Dani Ceballos for the forthcoming season, until 30 June 2020
