The President of the United States, President Donald Trump insults the Mayor of London Sadiq Khan for trying to block his State visit to the United Kingdom, asking the Mayor whom he referred to as dumb and foolish, to instead focus on fighting crime in London which records shows he has been terrible at and his job since becoming a Mayor.

President Trump who had taken to his Twitter handle to put out the message as he was about landing at the Stansted Airport in the United Kingdom a few hours ago, slammed Mayor Sadiq Khan whom he said had put out a foolishly ‘nasty’ statement against a visiting President of the United States, and the most important ally of the United Kingdom.
This was President Donald Trump’s tweets slamming Mayor Sadiq Khan minutes before landing on the soil of the United Kingdom on Monday morning for his three-day official visit:

“@SadiqKhan, who by all accounts has done a terrible job as Mayor of London, has been foolishly “nasty” to the visiting President of the United States, by far the most important ally of the United Kingdom. He is a stone-cold loser who should focus on crime in London, not me

Kahn reminds me very much of our very dumb and incompetent Mayor of NYC, de Blasio, who has also done a terrible job – only half his height. In any event, I look forward to being a great friend to the United Kingdom and am looking very much forward to my visit. Landing now!” he said.

This will not be the first time Trump will be clashing with the Mayor of London, and this will not be the last, as the American President is coming at a period when all seems to be in disarray in the United Kingdom as regards to the whole Brexit drama and Theresa May.

Sadiq Khan had granted an interview to Sky News where he said it was wrong to ‘roll out red carpet’ for Trump’s visit to the UK

He said: “I think it’s important for us to have good relations with our closest ally, and important for our allies to be here for the 75th anniversary of the D-Day landings; we’ve got to have good relations with the US – but I don’t think we should be rolling out the red carpet.

“Our closest ally is akin to a best friend – and the thing about a best friend is that you stand shoulder to shoulder with them in times of adversity, but you’ve got to call them out when you think they’re wrong.

“There are so many things about President Donald Trump’s policies that are the antithesis of our values in London, but also our values as a country.”

When asked whether the president should have been invited to London, he replied: “Not on a state visit, no.”

Mr Khan said some of the president’s actions and policies since being inaugurated in 2017 have been “abhorrent and offensive”. the Mayo of London had to Sky news.
