R Kelly hits with fresh 11 count charges on sex assault and sex-abuse and four of the new counts charge is aggravated criminal sexual assault and a Class X felony that carries six to 30 years in prison on conviction. as per Chicago Tribune.
The report also went further to say that three of the new counts accuse him of sexually abusing a victim between the ages of 13 and 16. But it was unclear if this is a new victim or one of the four victims, three of them underage at the time, whom Kelly was charged in February with sexually abusing.
R Kelly hits with 11 new charges that his Attorney Steve Greenberg denies that they are not new charges, as he said his client will be continuing his court case on 6th June 2019 on old charges. He said:
“He was NOT charged with a new case. He was recharged in an existing case, same alleged victim and time (a decade ago) It changes nothing.”
R Kelly had earlier pleaded not guilty to charges he sexually abused the four alleged victims over a span of a dozen years, and was later granted $1million bail by the Cook County Jail, but could only meet up with 10 per cent bond, which is $100,000
