Ashley Massaro Ex-WWE wrestler dies at 39

The WWE has on Thursday announced the death of one of their own and ex wrestler, Ashley Massaro at the age of 39.

Although nothing was said about the cause of her death, reports have it that Ashley Massaro on Thursday before her death, was taken to
a local hospital a few hours after an emergency call from her residence.

It was also reported that “rescue call” came in at 5:23 AM to her home in Smithtown and was transported to the hospital, where she passed away.

According to the dispatch audio, officials initially responded to an unconscious female and administered CPR on the way to the hospital.

police believe no foul play was committed, and are classifying the death as “non-criminal.”

The WWE released a statement on her death that reads:

“We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro. WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends.”

Massaro is best known for winning the “WWE Diva Search” in 2005, and eventually becoming a valet for WWE Tag Team Champions, Paul London and Brian Kendrick.

One of her most famous matches was against Melina at Wrestlemania in 2007. Later that same year, Massaro appeared on the cover of Playboy.

She also competed in “Survivor: China” in 2007, and was voted off the island after only 6 days.

In 2008 Massaro retired from the WWE, but began to mount a comeback in professional wrestling in 2017. She leaves behind one daughter.
