Rihanna calls Alabama lawmakers and the Governor, idiots saying she is ashamed of them for passing a law banning abortion by women/girls of any age, even victims of rape or incest.
The Fenty makeup/designer mogul joining in the voices condemning the Alabama anti-abortion law, took to her social media page to put up photos of the said lawmakers behind the passage of the bill, for her fans to name and shame them.
Rihanna who has been very vocal in matters of this nature and politics in general, called out the Governor of Alabama, Kay Ivey as she frowned at the fact that majority of those that took the decision to ban abortion in the State were mostly men. She put up their photos with this caption:
“Take a look. these are the idiots making decisions for WOMEN in America”
On the Governor of Alabama who is also a woman, but in her very old age, who might have reacted strongly against the bill if she were still very young, she had this to say:
“Governor Kay Ivey…SHAME ON YOU!!!!”
After the state passed the anti-abortion bill that most people now see as one of the most insensitive laws in the country, which bans a woman from engaging in abortion at any age, including victims of rape or incest, celebrities in America took to their respective social media pages to voice their views on the bill, under the theme: My Body, My Choice.
Rihanna calls out the lawmakers, a few hours after other celebrities. This was the statement by the Alabama State Governor on signing the abortion bill:
“Today, I signed into law the Alabama Human Life Protection Act. To the bill’s many supporters, this legislation stands as a powerful testament to Alabamians’ deeply held belief that every life is precious & that every life is a sacred gift from God” the Governor tweeted on Wednesday.
