Nene Leakes tells fans that her husband Gregg Leakes is finally cancer free, after completing chemotherapy.
NeNe Leakes’s husband Gregg had been battling stage 3 colon cancer that nearly destroyed their marriage, as they struggled with everything that came with it. The family have been opened about it, especially on their reality tv show, as they admitted that it put a strain on their relationship. This was after much pressure from those wanting to know what was actually wrong or going on with Gregg.
The Real Housewives of Atlanta star, Nene Leakes who could not contain her joy for obvious reasons, shared a photo of her husband on her Instagram page, where he is holding up a card with words that says he is cancer free. The card reads:
“No cancer found! Praise God.”
NeNe Leakes tells her fans on Monday that Gregg, 63, is now cancer free. She posted a photo with this caption to celebrate the good news:
“Look at God! We are overjoyed to say, we saw the doctors for the results of Gregg’s Pet Scan he took last week! Test show, wait for It…..WE ARE CANCER FREE!!! Yes God!”
Days earlier, NeNe shared that they were still waiting for the test results, but that Gregg was “doing great.”
“A few days ago he took the PET scan so it’s going to be able to tell whether he needs to do more chemo, if there’s cancer, if it’s spread,” I know he’s going to be good.”
She also spoke about the the journey with Gregg on her Instagram a few days ago, where she said:
“This all started May 5th 2018…It’s been a long emotional ride for our entire family! Listen up American…..TODAY my husband @greggleakes has completed 6 months of chemotherapy!” she wrote at the time. “Awesome job hunni! I’m so happy for you and the strength you showed during this difficult time in your life! PS: Thank you to all of our family, friends, fans, doctors and nurses who lifted us up in constant prayer, sent recipes, doctors info, gave advice and gifts! We love you PSS: what a relief! We finally get to share with the world what we’ve been going thru” she said
Gregg, also sharedthe same photo on his own account, went on to thank his wife for “being there for me” even when “it wasn’t easy.”
