The daughter of Kimora and her ex-husband, Russell Simmons, Aoki Lee Simmons who is just 16, has been accepted into one of world’s prestigious Universities, Harvard, as the family broke the news a few hours ago on their social media handle.
This without a doubt is a special time for the Simmons, especially at a time when some top Hollywood superstars are being accused of bribing school authorities through cash and charity donations to get their children into some of these top colleges and universities. But here are the Simmons celebrating hard work and merit based admission,
Kimora Simmons who shared the good news, clearly aware about the US college scandal, screamed her lungs out, as she brags about her daughter Aoki Lee Simmons getting accepted into Harvard and other schools on merits. She shared the video on her Instagram page, as without asking, Aoki Lee Simmons already knows she is picking Harvard ahead of others and will begin the journey in 2023.
Kimora announced the exciting news on Instagram, sharing a video of her son Kenzo Lee reading Aoki’s admissions letter out loud. She captioned it with:
“Yaaayyyyy @aokileesimmons!! She’s on her way to #Harvard!! We are sooo super proud of YOU!! Such hard work and only 16! You did it! It took years of super dedication and lots of tears! But HERE YOU ARE!!! GO GIRL!!! Enjoy the journey! We are excited to see the great things you will do! Sorry I’m one of those SUPERLOUD MAMAS! She also got into Dartmouth, Vassar, Barnard etc! Woooo! #BeautyAndBrains!❤️
Aoki Lee also dropped a message on her admission:
“I’m only 16 and I’m going to Harvard baby! Insert emotional crying face. @kimoraleesimmons “thank god you got in on your own honey cause you can’t row” thank you so much to every single person who helped me along the way. I am excited and honored and so so grateful. #harvard2023”
On his part, Russell Simmons praise Kimora Simmons for her job and Making this possible. He said:
