Embattled Empire Star, Jussie Smollett pleads not guilty to a 16-count charge levelled against him by a grand jury as he appeared in court for his role in faking a racial and homophobic attack with two Nigerian brothers he paid to allegedly set up his own beat up.
According to TMZ, Jussie Smollett pleads not guilty to all the counts, and he will for the meantime, be allowed to travel to Los Angeles and New York for meetings with his lawyers. But will have to notify the court 48 hours in advance before going to either location and also needs to check back in within 24 hours when he returns to Chicago
TMZ reported that Jussie Smollett pleads not guilty, as the Empire star sensing all the cameras around him, walked gallantly with his back straight and his head held high, just like he did on Tuesday when he showed up at the Cook County for a procedural hearing he technically didn’t need to attend.
He’s expected to enter a plea one way or another at his arraignment, as he could be facing up to four years in prison.
