Colin Kaepernick slams Travis Scott for Super Bowl deal

Former NFL quarterback Colin has refuted claims that he was in the know about Travis Scott performing at the Super Bowl, contradicting the earlier statement of the Astro world rapper the he approved of him going ahead with the performance.

Travis Scott had a few days back after he received some calls asking him to turn down the offer of performing at the Super Bowl, said he has spoken to Colin about his plans and how he will use the $500,000 performance fee for charitable purposes and all, but the new information from the camp and friends of Colins are denying all of it.

According to TMZ report, Colin and Travis, and sources connected with both sides agree the two men spoke, but the timeline and substance of the conversation are critical.

Sources connected to Travis acknowledge, when TMZ broke the story on December 20 that Travis would perform at the Super Bowl, he had indeed made that decision. The contract, however, had not been signed.

The source when further to state that, Travis has a track record for charity work and donations and wanted to incorporate that into his deal and that’s when he started thinking of some sort of donation the NFL might make.

We’re told Travis’ people started negotiating a donation amount with the NFL and Travis was “willing to walk” if he didn’t get what he wanted. TMZ reported.

The contract was signed, and Travis reached out to Colin presumably to get him on board but not to ask for permission. But Colin was not supportive of Travis performing at the Super Bowl, and the 2 men disagreed. Multiple sources characterize the conversation as “cordial and not hostile.”

It seems Kanye West might have influenced Travis Scott going ahead with the performance as he feels he has rights to do what ever he feels is right for himself and does not need to seek a permission from someone before doing anything.

Colin who has faced criticism and even losing his job for standing for what he believes in, will be hurt by the move, but again, not everyone will have to be on your side to make a change.
