President Muhammadu Buhari, following the resignation of Honourable Kawu Sumaila as the Senior Special Assistant (SSA) to the President on National Assembly Matters (House of Representatives), the President has appointed Umar Ibrahim El-Yakub as his replacement.
President Muhammadu Buhari appointed Honourable Sumaila as his Senior Special Assistant on August 2015 and resigned his position so as to contest for membership of the House of Representatives representing Sumaila/Takai Federal Constituency in Kano State under the ticket of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
His successor, El-Yakub whose appointed has just been announced, is an APC stalwart from Kano State, and was a member of the House of Representatives, from 1998 and 2003-2007 where he represented Kano Municipal Federal Constituency.
