Daily Trust Editor Uthman Abubakar regains freedom

After allegedly spending a few days in the custody of the Nigerian Army, Uthman Abubakar the Editor of Daily Times has finally regained his freedom.

Uthman Abubakar who is the Editor of Daily Times was said to have been detained in Maiduguri after the alleged siege by the Army on the headquarters of Media Trust a few days ago. But he has been released by the Nigerian Army.

Uthman Abubakar was detained on Sunday, following his report against the Army, as Mannir Dan-Ali, Editor-in-Chief of Daily Trust, disclosed this shortly after speaking to the editor who was brought back to the Maiduguri office by an unnamed Major who handed him over to a Security officer at the office.
