Popular Nollywood actor Gbenga Akintunde famously known as Burger in the indigenous Yoruba film industry, has died, a few hours after complaining of Malaria.
The sad news was made known to the public by his friend and filmmaker, Kunle Afod who broke the news on Thursday evening on his social media page.
According to Kunle, Gbenga Akintunde a.k.a Burger, called him on Wednesday to know about the preparation on their annual New Year’s party on Thursday, and a few hours later after their conversation on phone, another call came in from Gbenga Burger’s family informing him of his death.
Kunle expressing his shock and disbelieve, put up this post to mourn his friend, Gbenga Akintunde. He said:
“You called yesterday to confirm if I will still be holding my new year party today and I was called this afternoon that you are no more …BURGER..
Heard u went to the hospital to complain about malaria this afternoon and in few hours u are in the mortuary… this is so sad …??????…
