The Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media, Mr Femi Adesina has a few hours ago, released a statement clarifying the status of Africa’s richest man, Aliko Dangote on the APC campaign Council earlier released.
Femi Adesina who had earlier released names of APC campaign council on Friday, with the likes of billionaire businessman, Aliko Dangote and his friend who is also a billionaire, Femi Otedola as members of the council, said there is a need to make some clarification, following the reactions that followed the list after it was released to the public. He said:
“It has become imperative to further clarify the status of Alhaji Aliko Dangote, named under the sub-head ADVISORY MEMBERS in the APC Presidential Campaign Council announced today”
He continued with:
“Africa’s richest man not being a card carrying member of the APC, cannot, and he is not a member of the Presidential Campaign Council.
He is also a member of the Peace Committee , and thus cannot be in a partisan campaign Council” he said.
