President Nieto of Mexico praises new Economic pact with US and Canada

The President of Mexico, President Enrique Pena Nieto has released a statement praising the new Economic Pact signed with the United States Of America, and Canada, saying that the deal will consolidate the economic integration of North America.

President Nieto whose term as President ended 30th November 2018 signed the trade deal on his last day in office, even after his tough time with President Donald Trump over a lot of issues. The ‘building of a border wall’ being the major issue, praised his counterparts for the new trade deal that he said will help further boost the economy. He said:

“On my last day as president, I am very honoured to have participated in the signing of the new trade agreement between Mexico, the United States and Canada. This day concludes a long process of dialogue and negotiation that would consolidate the economic integration of North America.”

President Nieto called the trade deal which now ends NAFTA as Mexico, United States and Canada Economic Trade deal. He said the deal will address the following:

  • “TMEC It is the first trade agreement with elements to address the social impact of international trade:
    it will facilitates the participation of more sectors of the economy;
    It extends the protection of workers ‘ rights; and
    Strengthens the care of the environment.

With #TMEC it, ?? Mexico, the ?? United States and ?? Canada will work together for the wellbeing and prosperity of each of their societies, and are ready to start a new phase in their shared history.” he said.
The deal was signed by US, Canada and Mexico on the sideline of the G20 meeting.
