The Ooni of Ife Palace, according to reports has been gutted by fire, and although no official statement from the Ife Palace yet, the fire was said to have gutted some parts of the Palace on Wednesday.
The Ife Palace, which is the ‘Ile-Oodua’ housed the Ooni of Ile-Ife, Oba Adeyeye Ogunwusi.
It was gathered that the incident caused panic in the ancient city.
The fire started inside a location in the Ife palace but the timely intervention of men of fire service prevented spread to other buildings.
