Sir Bobby has received a very special and warm birthday message from the world football governing body, FIFA as he celebrates his 81st birthday.
FIFA in celebrating one of their own, and one of the very few that ever played the round leather game, and a legend in his own right, took to their social media page on Thursday, 11th 2018 to wish the English man a happy birthday.
Putting up a photo of Sir Bobby and a photo of champagne, FIFA captioned it with:
A very happy 81st Birthday to Sir Bobby
FIFA his bottle of champagne was one of many reserved for him and the rest of the victorious England
team for their 1966 #WorldCup celebrations. However it remained unopened and has since taken its place in our 1966 showcase
Sir Bobby who is regarded as the best ever midfielder in football History, was born October 11th 1937 and still one of those that have won the world cup and he has also won the Balloon d’Or.
He was also a club legend at Manchester United and was the club’s leading goal scorer for decades with 199 goals before Wayne Rooney came and took that away from him. But he is still a club hero and England legend.
