Hazard scored his first hat-trick of the season, as Chelsea humbled hard fighting and newly promoted Cardiff by 4-1 for their fifth win in five for the season.
The Maurizio Sarri side had to fight back from a goal down early in the first half after Cardiff stunned their host with a goal, but the blue side of London fought back just as they have constantly done so far this season under their new Italian manager, to record an emphatic win, putting 4-goals past their visitor.
The game saw Chelsea as expected having a huge chunk of ball possession and perfect control of the game, that left the visitor’s coach, Neil Warnock frustrated on how to maintain a perfect head and not worsen their situation. But it was not to be, as Belgian Captain was on the day, in the mood, as he netted his first hat-trick of the season, to give Chelsea a five straight victory, matching Liverpool’s record of five wins in five games so far this season.
The game had all you would expect, as although, Cardiff were fearless, taking the game to their host, but they later paid for their braveness, as goals from Eden Hazard and Willian gives Chelsea needed points to go level with Liverpool on points, but had to second for second position on the table due to Liverpool’s goal superiority.
Chelsea had a lot of missed opportunities, so also was Cardiff, but the quality of the Chelsea team was just too much for Cardiff, who so far are learning the huge difference between the Premier League and the Championship.
Willian scored a beauty to make the game 4-1 after the Brazilian came in for Pedro in the second half.
The game ended with Eden Hazard winning the Man Of the Match award, and also his hat-trick ball, joining the likes of Didier Drogba, Frank Lampard, and Jimmy Hasselbaink as those with multiple hat-tricks for Chelsea. Congratulations to him…
