Bauchi State Government has announced the passing away of a Commissioner of the State Engr. Mahmood Abubakar, who until his death was the Commissioner for Rural Development.
The late Engr. Mahmood Abubakar was said to have passed away in the earlier hours of Saturday morning after a brief illness.
In a statement which was made available a few hours ago by Governor Abubakar, where he expressed shock and sadness on the unfortunate news, said it was with a heavy heart that he is making this announcement.
While praying for his soul, the Governor said the late Mahmood Abubakar during his lifetime, was a gentleman, a friend and a brother that will be missed by all. He also prayed for the families left behind, asking God to forgive his shortcomings and grant his family the strength to bear the irreparable loss.
In his statement, Governor Mohammed Abdullahi Abubakar said:
“It’s with a heavy heart that I announce to you the passing away of a friend and brother, Engr. Mahmood Abubakar, Commissioner for Rural Development.
I pray Almighty Allah forgives his shortcomings, and grant his family the strength to bear this irreparable loss.”
The State government also released a statement announcing the passing away of the Commissioner Engr. Mahmood Abubakar, where they also expressed shock and condoles the family for their loss.

The death has occurred of Engr. Mahmood Abubakar, the Bauchi State Commissioner for Rural Development. He passed on today after a brief illness. condoles with the family and the entire state, describing Engr. Mahmood’s death as an irreparable loss.

The death of Engr. Mahmood Abubakar is coming at a time when the Governor is in need of his Commissioners to deliver an electoral victory for him and his Political party, as he continues his battle with members of the National Assembly from his State.
