Mikel Obi after his time with Chelsea, where he won virtually everything in the European football, decided to make a big money move to Chinese League where he has since been playing his football and having a fun time with family.
He was also part of the Nigerian Super Eagles team to the last World Cup in Russia and was the captain of that team that failed to make it through the group stage of the 2018 Russia world cup.
The Nigerian team won just one of their game against Iceland and lost against Croatia and Messi’s Argentina, and Mikel Obi was one of the players heavily criticized for their performance at the world cup.
