Naomi Campbell and Wizkid were an item of discussion last night, as they both appeared as a couple to the 2018 GQ award in London.
Their appearance has triggered a lot of controversy and debate around social media, as many felt the Veteran British model Naomi Campbell who is now 42 and Wizkid 28 should not be having anything romantic or should be spotted together.
The two who appeared at the venue for the GQ Men of the year awards were pictured holding hands as the Afrobeat King walks his queen on the red carpet of the event. These two no doubt, are not dating as last night will not be the first time the two will be spotted together.
A few weeks back, Naomi Campbell took Wizkid for his first walk on the runway in an international fashion show, where the two were embellished in a Dolce and Gabbana outfit in Paris, and the other was at the Wizkid’s concert at the 02 Arena.
A few days or weeks later, with the influence of Naomi Campbell, Wizkid debuts his fashion line in collaboration with Dolce and Gabbana which he has featured in most of his musical concerts. The latest is with Nike sports wears where he has launched his Wizkid clothing line, with popup shops held in London and New York.
I do not see a problem with Naomi Campbell going on a date with Wizkid or even having any romantic relationship with Wizkid…
…as if it were to be the other way around, with Wizkid being the older person (42) and Naomi Campbell (28) I am guessing no eyebrows would be raised. In fact, Wizkid will receive praises for landing a super chic in Naomi Campbell (she is still a super chic at 42 though) at his age, as most people feel certain things only applies to men, as it is a ‘Man’s world’…SMH
Their connection allegedly came through British rapper, Skepta (who is the boyfriend to Naomi Campbell), and since his meeting with the rapper, he [Wizkid] has had contacts with some of the big names both in the music industry and fashion world, famous among them being Drake.
It is a long but short story behind the friendship between these two, and for all you know, it could be some kind of stunt from these two…
