PHOTO: Seedorf and Kluivert unveiled as Managers of Cameroun

The duo of Clarance Seedorf and Patrick Kluivert has been unveiled by Cameroonian Football Federation as the new coaches of the Cameroonian National team.

In a bid to revive their declining football and bring back the good old days when Cameroun used to be at the forefront of football in Africa, the FA has gone for two of the most experience footballers now managers in the world, to do the job.

Both Seedorf and Kluivert have the much needed experience to do the job, as they are well known names in world football, and have also in their respective individual capacity, managed teams both at the club level and National team level, either as Assistant coach and coach.

Seedorf and Kluivert are both Dutch retired footballers and will be looking to introduce the playing style to the Indomitable Lions of Cameroun.

Cameroun as Africa football powerhouse, are the only country that have been to the FIFA World cup the most, with seven appearances, their last being that of Brazil 2014. They are also, the first African team to reach the Quarterfinals of the FIFA World cup in 1990. They have won the African Nations cup five times.

One of their football legend and also a Cameroonian, Samuel Eto’o praised the appointment, as he took to his social media page to say:

I hope that together you will succeed in giving Cameroonian football back its nobility”

On his part, Clarence Seedorf who is appointed the coach and will be Assisted by Kluivert, said he was delighted on this new challenge, and promised to bring the needed change the team deserves. He said:

“I am proud and honoured to be the Head Coach of the Cameroun national team. Together with my brother Patrick Kluivert as Assistant Coach I know this is going to be an amazing journey. Thank you, Cameroun for the warm welcome, working already and see you soon! Allez le Cameroun! #CS10 #LionsInDomptables”
