Everton are reported to have completed the signing of Yerry Mina for a transfer fee of £28.5million from Barcelona.

The big Colombian centre defender who could not break into the back-line of Barcelona after making a switch from Palmeiras in January 2018 and having managed a few games with the La Liga Champions, will now continue his football in England with Everton.

Yerry is leaving Barcelona for Everton having been previously linked to Manchester United who are running against time to land a Centre defender, as the transfer window closes today.

The English fans are familiar with Yerry Mina as his header was the goal that gave his country Columbia hope at the just concluded FIFA World Cup in Russia against England. But were unfortunate as England  progressed on to the next stage on penalties, before they were ousted by Croatia in the Semi-finals.

Yerry Mina will be bringing all those physicality to the English Premier League, as Everton goes into the transfer window deadline grabbing all the unwanted players from Barcelona.

In another news, also involving Everton, the club have also signed another player from Barcelona and this time is the Portuguese midfielder Gomes who is joining Everton on a season-long loan.
