English Premier League side, Chelsea have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Real Madrid for the signing of Thibaut Courtois.
The story which is still breaking will see the Belgian Goalkeeper sign a six-year deal with the European Champions, as he is set to reunite with his “family” after 3-years.
The deal also sees Croatia’s midfielder, Kovacic joining Chelsea on a season-long loan, with a possibility of making it a permanent deal at the end, based on a fee that will be agreed by both Chelsea and Real Madrid.
This news also means Real Madrid and Thibaut Courtois have done well to beat the English transfer window deadline which closes Thursday. His move also gives Manchester United fans a huge relief, as Courtois moving to Real Madrid, put to and end all the speculations and threat of their Goalkeeper David De Gea leaving to the Spanish side.
Thibaut Courtois who has refused to resume training with the rest of his Chelsea teammates, ignoring a call for him to report to the club after the World cup break, will now be leaving Chelsea without having the opportunity to say goodbye to Chelsea fans.
Since the rumour broke that he was trying to force a move to Real Madrid, and refusing to sign a contract extension, the big Belgian goalkeeper’s popularity among the fans dropped as he constantly faces the chant of ‘snake’ every post he put up on his social media page.
