English Premier League side, Burnley a few hours ago, announced the signing of former England number one goalkeeper Joe Hart from Manchester City.
The club taking to their social media page, Burnleyofficial, said:
“Burnley Football Club is delighted to announce the signing of Joe Hart on an initial two-year deal. Welcome, Joe!”
Joe Hart who was once the number one choice goalkeeper at Manchester City was sacked by Pep Guardiola on becoming the new manager of City, and then loaned to Italian side Torino, where he was still unable to find his form.
He returned to England last season, playing for London club West Ham, and still could not put out a performance that would make him get a recall from City, before his eventual sale to Burnley for an undisclosed fee.
Joe Hart on his arrival to West Ham, became the number choice goalkeeper relegating former number one Adrian. But he could still not maintain his form, as not too long, he saw himself on the bench as a second choice goalkeeper to Adrian Castillo…no surprise West Ham are letting him go even with the arrival of former City coach, Manuel Pellegrini.
While reacting to his move to Burnley, the 31-year-old Joe Hart said he was excited to the new challenge and will show the club what he can do. He said:
“So happy to sign for @burnleyofficial Start of a brand new chapter and I can’t wait to give my all to this club and help them to keep progressing and pushing in such a positive direction. I feel so excited for what is to come, it’s down to me now to show what I can do”
