Belgian midfielder, Axel Witsel has taken to his social media page to announce his move from China to German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund.

The FIFA World cup bronze medalist at the just concluded Russia 2018 world cup, after 18-months with Chinese Super League side Tianjin Quanjian, his now making a return to European football with Borussia Dortmund.

The Belgian before leaving for China played for Russian club Zenith Saint Petersburg and after a fantastic outing at the world cup for Belgium, it was not a surprise to see top European club sides interested in his signature.

Taking to his social media page, he said:

“After 18-months in China, I would like to thank everyone at Tianjin Quanjian for an amazing experience. we have created great memories together. Thank you to all the fans, staff and team for making the time we had together unforgettable.

All the best for the rest of the season and the future ahead. I’m confident you will continue to go on and achieve great things.” He said.

The 29-year-old attacking /central midfielder has played for Russian side Zenith Saint Petersburg, and Benfica before leaving for China.
