The Nigerian Army in their continued bid to restore peace in the land, has announced the appointment of Major. General Augustine Chris Chukwudi Agundu as the new Commander of Operation Safe Haven Commander.
The announcement was made by the Chief of Defence Staff General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin in a statement released by the Defence Head Quarters yesterday.
The announcement which takes an immediate effect, will see Major General Anthony Atolagbe who was before now the Commander Operation Safe Haven Jos, resume as at the Defence Headquarter as Director of Campain Planning.
The Statement as released by the Army reads:
“The Chief of Defence Staff, General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin has approved the appointment of Major General Augustine Chris Chukwudi Agundu as the Commander, Operation Safe Haven. He is to take over from Major General Anthony Atolagbe who has been redeployed to Defence Headquarters and appointed Director of Campaign Planning.
The posting which takes immediate effect is in order to reinvigorate Operation Safe Haven to meet contemporary challenges”
